What the plan set is
A BarndoVista plan set is a builder-ready, unstamped drawing set (PDF) dimensioned to the inch, an editable CAD file (DXF) of the floor plan and every concept rendering of the home, full-size, licensed for building one home.
Get it priced by a builder
Your builder uses the drawings to price the home in your area, with the finishes you choose. The sets are drawn for conventional wood framing; a version in another system, such as a steel frame or a post-frame building, is an adaptation your builder or engineer makes.
- Which structural system will the price assume?
- Which finishes are included, and which are allowances?
Engineering and permits are local
The drawings are unstamped. Structural design, engineering, energy and code review and permits depend on your land and local rules, so your builder and, where your project needs one, a licensed engineer or architect complete them for your site.
- Who will assess the site?
- Who will prepare the final construction documents?
- Which approvals will be required locally?
Making changes
Want a bigger shop or one more bedroom? Your builder or a local drafter can make changes from the CAD file. You can also request a change from us by email, using the link on the home’s page, and we will reply with what it involves and a quote.
